Produced by the Army Pictorial Service, Signal Corps, with cooperation from the Army Air Forces and the United States Navy, the film was released by Warner Bros. for the War Activities Committee shortly after Japan’s surrender. It chronicles General Douglas MacArthur and his troops from their 1942 evacuation from the Philippines through the signing of the surrender documents aboard USS Missouri on September 1, 1945. The Academy Film Archive preserved the work in 2013.
