Apollo 18

The decades-old footage from the abandoned Apollo 18 mission is rediscovered, highlighting the unexplained absence of U.S. lunar exploration since 1973. Initially relegated to obscurity, the mission is then sanctioned as a top-secret Department of Defense operation aimed at strategic defense.

Commander Nathan Walker, Lieutenant Colonel John Grey, and Captain Benjamin Anderson are launched into space aboard the Freedom Command/Service module. Their objective is to deploy detectors on the Moon that will provide warnings against imminent ICBM threats from the USSR.

Walker and Anderson successfully land on the lunar surface using the lunar module named Liberty. After setting up equipment, they begin collecting moon rock samples, but are soon disturbed by strange noises that fill the atmosphere around them.

As they work on the Moon, the astronauts hear eerie noises, leading them to believe that something is amiss. A startling moment occurs when a camera captures a small rock moving seemingly on its own, prompting them to question the safety of their environment.

An unsettling discovery is made when Anderson finds a rock sample on the floor of the Liberty lunar module, despite their careful measures to secure these items. This incident raises alarms, leading the astronauts to reassess their perception of reality.

As the climax unfolds, Grey alerts Anderson of an impending collision while footage of their plight is captured. The mission abruptly cuts to earlier footage of the astronauts, hinting at a larger narrative about their fate and subsequent cover-up.

In the wake of the crisis, official narratives emerge declaring the astronauts dead in unrecoverable accidents. However, the film's epilogue raises disturbing questions regarding the fate of moon rocks from previous Apollo missions, hinting at a dark and horrifying truth about those who ventured into space.
