Most of the action takes place in contemporary Florida, on a nightmarish road trip and inside a secluded residence. The narrative is intercut with a flashback to the 1950s that explains Andre the Butcher’s origins and how a lynching cursed him. This backstory shows how past violence bleeds into the present and fuels supernatural horror.

The story unfolds on a deserted rural road in Florida and centers around a remote, vacant house that becomes the killers’ lair. The setting mixes sun-baked highways with a shuttered lodge-like home and a nearby field, all under oppressive darkness. The isolated environment heightens the sense of danger and forces characters to rely on salvaged tools and a buried past to survive.
