Nikhil arrives back in Lajpat Nagar after completing his education abroad. His orthodox Punjabi family immediately presses him about marriage, hoping to arrange a match. The parents, especially Purushottam and Beeji, worry that their son is not interested in settling down. The family dynamics set the stage for the ensuing schemes.

Purushottam asks Hakim, a family friend and sexologist, to push Nikhil to open up about marriage. Hakim senses an opportunity to influence the family by orchestrating a ruse rather than direct confrontation. He begins formulating a plan to sway the parents while keeping Nikhil's real situation in mind.

Nikhil confesses to Hakim that he is in love with Aamna, a Muslim girl living in the U.S. He fears his family will reject the match due to tradition. Hakim decides to use this information to force acceptance through a staged deception rather than a direct confrontation.

Hakim lays out a scheme: Nikki, a pretend American girl, will appear unsuitable while Aamna is cast as the ideal, traditional partner. Nikhil and Hakim train Nikki to play a spoiled American girl, and they even Photoshop a fake childhood album to support the backstory. Sukha Paaji, a regular patient, helps create the ruse.

The astrologer fixes a marriage date that falls just four days away, rapidly tightening the timeline. Panic spreads as the window to complete the deception narrows. The trio scrambles to prepare for a rapid court wedding.

In a final attempt to scuttle the arrangement, they hire a woman to pose as Nikki's mother to object to the match. The ploy proves unsuccessful, and the wedding schedule remains in place. The pressure mounts as the ceremony looms.
