Michael Mikaele, a catatonic artist from a broken home, endures a cruel psychiatrist who rationalizes sexual abuse as sympathy. He spends eight years drawing images from suggestive T‑shirt slogans while a tyrannical boss, Bill, blasts bad motivational tapes, forces his girlfriend to manage him, and denies any time off. Seeking escape, Mike ties T‑shirts to a bathroom window, befriends Rod—unaware that Rod is his girlfriend’s father—and hallucinates a towel‑clad cinematographer wandering his apartment.
