Inside the academy, King meets Mary Grace Talagtag, a new recruit who quietly harbors a crush on him. She asks him out on a date, leading to a tense restaurant moment where a misunderstanding about an embrace fuels lingering awkwardness. Their budding dynamic becomes central to the mission.

They graduate from the academy, and Mary Grace accepts West Point training. She leaves the country with a bitter impression of King and returns years later as the country’s top agent.

Soon after graduation, King fails to solve three cases and his prospects dwindle. He is demoted to a clerical post and later works as a janitor with Junior, a humiliation that fuels their stubborn determination.

The Philippines’ most important artifact, Lapulapu’s bolo, vanishes from a museum. Minerva Castillo contacts the agency with a sensational claim that the dagger can turn water into crude oil, raising the stakes. Mary Grace is expected to lead the assignment, but Tony Falcon pushes to keep King in the loop.

Tony Falcon pushes to keep King informed about the mission, prompting a reluctant reunion between him and Mary Grace. The sense of rivalry and mentorship deepens as they navigate the early stages of the case.

An investigation reveals Minerva’s past connected to Purubutusan’s schemes and a shocking twist involving a monkey engineered into a human. King and Mary Grace infiltrate Purubutusan’s lair, where Mary Grace is captured and King is temporarily paralyzed.

King recovers, returns with Cynthia’s help to defeat Purubutusan and rescue Mary Grace, escaping as the lair detonates. King is promoted to full agent and the two agents become a couple.

In the epilogue, Cynthia reveals that Lapulapu’s dagger actually produces cooking oil, not crude oil. The mission remains a success and marks a hopeful future for the duo.
