Manoharan is an all-consuming figure in Mullakkara, where weddings define status and power. He has built his life around arranging marriages, pursuing each assignment with ruthless efficiency. Twenty-two years ago, a pivotal event forced him into this path, setting the course for everything that follows.

The humiliation of his sister Anitha at a wedding and his father's heart attack left him resentful and hungry for control. This tragedy fuels his fierce determination to prevent any couple in Mullakkara from fleeing again. The rivalry with Tresiamma grows in the wake of that painful memory.

Since he became the broker, no couple has fled Mullakkara, reinforcing his power in the village. The locals rely on his arrangements, for better or worse. This success breeds both fear and dependence.

Manoharan is tasked with arranging the marriage of his deceased girlfriend Shalini's daughter, Aswathi. He secures a match with Kunjumon, a small local businessman, under family expectations. The plan sets the stage for a crisis when true feelings surface.

Aswathi’s betrothal to Kunjumon is arranged to secure a smooth wedding and a dignified match. Kunjumon presents himself as a suitable partner who has known Aswathi since childhood. Manoharan confirms the match in order to fulfill the commission.

Anitha, whom Manoharan encounters in Bangalore, tells him that a bride's word is final and that Aswathi should be free to marry who she loves. This insight challenges Manoharan’s control and prompts him to redraw his plan. He agrees to help Aswathi marry Sathya and brings her back to Mullakkara, warning her not to reveal the love.

Back in Mullakkara, Aswathi meets Kunjumon and he confesses that his love for her began in childhood. She is unable to tell him about Sathya yet tries to manage the situation. The tension between love and obligation grows.

Aswathi's best friend reveals she has loved Kunjumon since childhood, complicating the arranged marriage. A well-wisher sends a letter urging him to step away, warning that Aswathi loves another. Kunjumon ignores the warning and presses ahead with preparations.

Sathya arrives in Mullakkara and takes up a teaching position at a local tutorial college, bringing a new face and promise into Aswathi's life. His presence unsettles Kunjumon and redefines who could be the bride. The triangle sharpens as feelings become clearer.

Kunjumon grows jealous as Aswathi spends more time with Sathya, leading to a confrontation on the night before the wedding. He confronts Aswathi’s best friend and learns details she kept hidden. The friend reveals her own childhood love for Kunjumon.

The wedding is cancelled as Kunjumon goes missing, throwing the family into panic. Manoharan pivots, proposing Sathya as the groom and presenting him to the grandparents. The family must choose between obligation and honest love.

Tresiamma uncovers that Sathya was originally chosen to secure a handsome commission and exposes this manipulation to everyone. The revelation challenges the integrity of the plan and casts doubt on Sathya's motives. Nevertheless, Aswathi asserts her love and readiness to marry Sathya.

Aswathi finally voices that she loves Sathya and wishes to marry him, rejecting the prior arrangement. The family agrees to let Sathya become her groom, shifting the wedding away from Kunjumon. The town braces for a different kind of ceremony.

The wedding proceeds with Sathya as the groom, affirming Aswathi's choice. In a twist of fate, Kunjumon is found to be married to Aswathi's best friend. The resolution preserves family ties while honoring Aswathi's wishes.

With the wedding resolved, Manoharan is forced to confront the limits of control he once wielded. He witnesses Aswathi marry Sathya, while Kunjumon starts a new life with the best friend. The film ends on a note of reconciliation and a village adjusted to new choices.
