A major turning point arrives when Karthik earns a promotion to manager at the US branch of his company. The tension deepens as familial and communal pressures mount, and Karthik’s father contemplates signing over land papers to secure his daughter’s marriage, creating a rift that pushes him away from the village.

Just as momentum builds, a new crisis emerges: a novel coronavirus outbreak brings a lockdown, cutting roads and stalling crop shipments. With markets inaccessible, Karthik pivots quickly, leveraging technology to keep farming viable. He creates an app, Sreekaram, that connects buyers directly to the village, allowing orders to be placed and sanitized crops to be delivered straight to homes. The innovation helps sustain production and trust, turning a regional effort into a resilient system that survives even in the face of a global disruption.

As the village adapts, Karthik uncovers Ekambaram’s lingering manipulations and confronts him. After a candid conversation, Ekambaram recognizes his mistakes and begins to support the village, transforming from adversary to ally. With the direct selling model proving effective, crops find buyers, and the app gains traction beyond the initial community. Villagers who had left for the city slowly return, drawn by the renewed sense of purpose and the prospect of a stable, cooperative livelihood.
