Into this fragile balance steps a new relief teacher, Ikezawa Ikezawa, sent to act as advisor. His arrival triggers a tense first encounter: Satoko and Kana Shinomori mistake him for a thief and splash him with ink, setting a tense, awkward tone. Despite the rough start, Ikezawa insists the club needs a lift and stages a showy performance calligraphy demonstration designed to draw in fresh faces.
