Rose, Helen Shaver, a wedding planner, travels to France for three days and leaves her daughter Roxanne JoAnna Garcia Swisher in charge of the wedding business. While Rose is in Paris, Roxanne reconnects with her former fiancé, Dylan Lucas Bryant, who had abruptly called off the wedding and vanished.

Dylan asks to catch up, but Roxanne refuses since her mother is due to arrive home the same day. Roxanne gets a surprise when she meets her mother’s new fiancé, Jack Kenneth Welsh, who proposed to Rose after knowing her for only two days. Roxanne’s jealousy and ambition set her on a reckoning she didn’t anticipate, and the tension between old loyalties and new appearances weaves a thorny path forward.

Jealous of her mother’s success, Roxanne partners with Charlie Luke Perry to sabotage the wedding. They first attempt to delay Jack by spinning a tale about a wine auction, hoping to disrupt rehearsal plans. Jack buys the entire wine case and brings it to Rose, a gesture that reveals his genuine affection for her. This moment unsettles Roxanne, who begins to realize that Jack truly loves her mother, and she quietly abandons the sabotage plan. Charlie, however, has his own separate scheme: he contemplates opening a bridal store to push Roxanne and Rose’s company out of business. Roxanne uncovers his plot and informs her mother, who then calls off the wedding.

On Christmas Day, Roxanne urges Rose to attend the holiday show. Jack arrives with a horse and carriage to sweep Rose off her feet, and with Roxanne’s involvement, he convinces Rose to accept his wedding proposal for a second time. Roxanne then learns that Jack was completely unaware of Charlie’s bridal-store scheme, adding a layer of relief to the tense situation. At Jack and Rose’s wedding, Dylan asks Roxanne for a dance and proposes marriage, and Roxanne accepts, setting the stage for a future that blends forgiveness, renewed love, and new beginnings for everyone involved.
