A Snow White Christmas (1980) Timeline Explained – Every Event in Order

The Wicked Queen returns from her ice prison and learns from the Magic Mirror that there are now two Snow Whites, one is the Queen Snow White who defeated her, and the other is the princess. The Mirror tells her the princess is more beautiful than she is, triggering an intense jealousy that drives her to eliminate Snow White and reclaim her power.

The seven giants, Finicky, Corny, Thinker, Hicker, Tiny, Weeper, and Brawny, are revealed to be cousins of the Seven Dwarfs. This explains why they immediately sympathize with Snow White and agree to protect her, as they share a familial connection to her original friends.

The Wicked Queen disguises herself as a giant's grandmother figure and tempts Snow White with a poisoned flower that emits a sleep-inducing scent. The poison works similarly to the famous poisoned apple, it puts Snow White into a deep sleep, making her appear dead. The giants later place her in a rose-filled coffin to carry her home.

During the final battle, Hicker gets a severe case of the hiccups. These hiccups grow so powerful they trigger an earthquake that brings down the Wicked Queen's entire castle. This earthquake simultaneously shatters the Magic Mirror, the source of the Queen's dark power, causing her to evaporate completely.

After learning of the two Snow Whites, the Queen conjures a massive magical ice storm designed to freeze the entire kingdom of Noel and specifically kill the young princess. Her goal is to eliminate the Snow White who is more beautiful than her and remove all obstacles to reclaiming her throne.

The giants safeguard Snow White through multiple attempts: they shelter her in their cottage, Brawny rescues her from drowning when the Queen melts mountain ice to create a flood, and the giants collectively march on the Queen's castle when she appears to kill Snow White. Each attack from the Queen is thwarted by a different giant.

The Magic Mirror is revealed as the source of the Wicked Queen's dark power. When Hicker's hiccups trigger the earthquake that collapses the castle, the Mirror shatters. With its destruction, the Queen's power is broken, causing her to evaporate into nothingness and ending her reign of terror.

When the Wicked Queen is defeated and her Magic Mirror shatters, the curse she cast over Noel breaks automatically. The ice that transformed citizens into statues thaws, and they return to life just in time for Christmas Eve, allowing the kingdom to celebrate together.

While Snow White was unconscious in the coffin, the giants built a brand new castle on the mountaintop as a gift for all the children of Noel. This directly fulfills Snow White's original Christmas wish to build a playhouse for children and remodels the space that once belonged to the Wicked Queen.
