Robin and Javier Rivera celebrate their first anniversary with a camping trip, but the joyous occasion turns into a terrifying ordeal when Javier is found dead. Alone in the wilderness, Robin reluctantly accepts help from a mysterious stranger named Sam. As she places her life in his hands, she begins to question his motives, unsure whether he's a protector or a threat. Inspired by Ann Rule’s true crime collection, Empty Promises, the film explores themes of survival, trust, and danger in the isolated wilderness.
