Anita Ragusa, daughter of a costume‑company owner, rushes to deliver a last‑minute dress for a costume ball. The snooty client first rejects the design but lets Anita model it before deciding. A drunken partygoer, Charlie, sees her in the gown and invites her to join the festivities. Reluctantly she accepts and later sings for the assembled guests.
