After a tense gathering between the Torricelli Sicilian Mafia and black market dealers, Massimo Torricelli (Michele Morrone) catches sight of a stunning woman while at the beach. Tragically, in a shocking turn of events, his father—head of the Mafia family—is suddenly killed, leaving Massimo injured as well.

Five years pass, and Massimo has transformed into a cold and brutal leader of the Torricelli crime family. Meanwhile, Laura Biel (Anna Maria Sieklucka), a spirited young executive, finds herself dissatisfied in her relationship with her boyfriend Martin (Mateusz Lasowski), who dismisses her advances. While celebrating her 29th birthday in Italy with friends, an embarrassing incident with Martin leads her to wander off, where she unexpectedly encounters Massimo, who kidnaps her.

At his opulent villa, Massimo reveals to Laura that she is the woman he had gazed upon five years earlier. He explains that during his injury, thoughts of her consumed him. After years of searching, finally spotting her at the airport, he feels compelled to keep her. His plan? To hold her captive for 365 days (a full year) until she develops feelings for him, assuring her of a life filled with luxury. Faced with threats against her family, revelations of Martin’s infidelity, and the delivery of a breakup letter to Martin on her behalf, Laura reluctantly surrenders to her fate, all while Massimo asserts that he won’t touch her without her consent—even as he touches her without it.

As time passes and they share space, a defiant Laura berates him by donning seductive lingerie and daring outfits. Yet, their dynamic begins to shift; she gently entices him to share aspects of his life with her. Their time together in a Rome hotel sees Laura teasing him once more, leading to a scene where she is cuffed to the bed, forced to witness Massimo engage with another woman. Despite the intensity of the moment, he pulls back, choosing to release her and insist she dress for a night out.

At the club, Laura exploits her allure in front of Massimo and his associates, which leads to a dangerous confrontation when a rival mafia member assaults her. Massimo and his men react swiftly, initiating a battle that culminates with Massimo injuring the assaulter, igniting a mafia feud. The following day, Laura awakens on a yacht amidst an argument between Massimo and Mario (Bronislaw Wroclawski). Tensions escalate as Massimo resists suggestions to part ways with Laura, blaming her for the troubles that have arisen. In a heart-pounding moment, Laura falls overboard, nearly drowning due to her panic, but Massimo dives in to rescue her. This event deepens their bond, and during their time aboard the yacht, they engage in passionate encounters that symbolize her burgeoning feelings for him.

Eventually, Massimo permits Laura to visit her family in Warsaw, expressing his love and vowing to follow her once his business is wrapped up. Yet, days of waiting without word lead Laura to reconnect with Olga (Magdalena Lamparska), and a chance meeting with Martin spirals into conflict when Massimo awaits them at her apartment. Tensions reach a boiling point when, during their intimacy, Laura discovers wounds on Massimo from a mafia conflict, prompting her to confess her love for him. The next day, Massimo proposes, and she joyfully accepts, albeit with a plea that he keeps his criminal undertakings concealed from her parents.

Back in Italy, the atmosphere grows increasingly fraught, particularly when Laura brushes off concerns about her health, even as they prepare for a secret wedding. Massimo has decided only Olga will attend, wanting to keep his life hidden from Laura’s family. However, a twist unfolds as Olga reveals Laura’s pregnancy, prompting concern over whether Laura will tell Massimo. Meanwhile, Mario receives alarming news that rival mafia members threaten Laura’s life. When Laura’s vehicle disappears into a tunnel and doesn’t emerge, panic ensues. Mario rushes to inform Massimo just as Laura’s call cuts off, and realization dawns on Massimo—his worst fears materialize, leaving him distraught as sirens wail nearby.
