In South Africa, a convoy of Interpol agents, led by Lin, is tasked with transporting a high-profile prisoner named Keith. Unfortunately, their mission is abruptly disrupted when they are ambushed during a checkpoint stop, resulting in a catastrophic loss of life as most agents are killed. Lin narrowly escapes with Keith in a tense and frightening situation.

Travis Conrad, a hitman, observes the one-year anniversary of his loved ones' deaths by spending the day fishing with his father-in-law, Frank. After a poignant moment of scattering their ashes into the ocean, he leaves Frank sleeping to indulge in a self-destructive trip to a bar where he encounters two thugs sent by Jim.

At the bar, Travis is approached by two thugs who inform him that Jim wants to meet him. Jim proposes a lucrative job that will pay Travis a staggering $1 million per day to clean up a botched assassination connected to Keith and Lin. Despite his initial resistance to return to his former life, the allure of money convinces him to accept the task.

After relocating to Hong Kong, Travis employs a cunning method by stealing Lin's son’s cell phone to track her movements. He successfully meets Lin at the airport and uses his charm to win her trust, ultimately extracting crucial information about Keith's whereabouts from her phone the following morning.
