Zero Motivation

Zohar and Daffi make their way back to the isolated IDF base known as Shizafón. This base serves as the backdrop for their military service in the Personnel unit, which is marked by disorder and eccentricity.

The duo encounters a motley crew of personnel, including the stern Rama, who demands strict discipline reminiscent of Nurse Ratched. Along with them are Irena and two ditzy girls, Livnat and Liat, who bring an annoying yet entertaining presence with their off-key singing.

Daffi expresses her frustration over her role as Chief Paper Shredder, longing for a position at Kiryáh in Tel Aviv. She envisions a life filled with glamorous lunches at Azrieli Towers, far removed from her current mundane duties.

Unbeknownst to Daffi, Zohar has been hiding her transfer requests out of a fear of loneliness. This revelation showcases the depth of their friendship, as Zohar values Daffi's company more than her own aspirations.

A new recruit named Tehila joins the unit, leading Daffi to believe her long-awaited transfer is finally happening. Eager to train her, Daffi sees Tehila as the perfect replacement, fueling her hope for escape from Shizafón.

Tehila makes a bold move and visits Eitan, breaking the rules by wearing a borrowed uniform. Her declaration of love is abruptly interrupted when Eitan's girlfriend Anat appears, causing Tehila to flee in heartbreak.

The following morning, the girls awaken to a horrific sight: Tehila's lifeless body, drenched in blood. This tragic event sparks anger from Rama towards the Personnel team, amplifying the tensions within the unit.

Irena takes over Tehila's empty bed but soon becomes haunted by her ghost. This supernatural encounter leaves Irena in a catatonic state, showing the psychological impact of the tragic event on the unit.

Determined to change her circumstances, Daffi resolves to attain her transfer through officer training. Instead of the anticipated position in Kiryáh, she receives distressing news that she will replace Rama at Shizafón.

As the teasing about Zohar's virginity escalates, she decides to take control of her life by seducing a reservist. However, the encounter turns sinister, forcing Zohar to defend herself against an attempted assault.

In a surprising twist, Irena intervenes during Zohar's assault, using her own weapon to threaten the attacker. This unexpected act of bravery creates a ripple of shock within the base, highlighting the characters' complexities.

Stepping into a command role, Daffi faces ridicule from the soldiers she is meant to lead. Her authority is constantly undermined, leading to a series of humiliating events as she struggles to assert herself.

In retaliation for the mockery, Zohar publicly reveals Daffi's unfiled transfer requests, sparking chaos among the troops. This prank escalates situations further, resulting in Daffi accidentally deleting important files.

The climax of their tumultuous relationship leads to a heartfelt reconciliation when Daffi and Zohar find themselves in detention together. They bond over their shared experiences and the ridiculousness of their situation.

The story concludes with Zohar leaving the IDF base, her heart set on a new chapter in Tel Aviv. The iconic Azrieli Towers symbolize her hopes and dreams as she embarks on this fresh journey.
