Miroslav Hornicek, a delusional young man convinced he is the embodiment of Faust, repeatedly finds himself in absurd predicaments—most notably when he insists a woman is actually a cat. The looming threat of being rounded up and interned in a facility for the mentally unstable hangs over him, but love unexpectedly arrives, serving as a transformative force that gradually clears the haze and lifts the clouds that have obscured his perception.
