The marchioness's longtime admirer, Major Harry Roxbury, finally receives her acceptance. The plan has succeeded and the family is aligned for the future.

The weddings proceed and Reggie, now open to marriage, contemplates his own future as a husband as the household celebrates the successful matchmaking. The grandmother's wishes are fulfilled and peace settles over the estate.
