In the early 1900s a cultured Melburnian decides to leave the comforts of the city for the raw, remote expanses of the Australian outback. Jeannie Gunn arrives at Elsey Station, a sprawling cattle property that stretches over thousands of square kilometres, alongside her husband, newly appointed manager Aeneas Gunn. The land is merciless—its heat, isolation, and endless horizon make every day a lesson in endurance—yet it also holds a quiet, untamed beauty that beckons those willing to listen to its rhythm.
