Monica Rambeau arrives at S.W.O.R.D. to discuss her terrestrial missions and learns about the organization's focus on threats since Thanos. Hayward explains the history of S.W.O.R.D. and her mother's role in founding it, grounding Monica to avoid extra-terrestrial operations. Monica accepts the mission to track a missing person in Westview, New Jersey.

Monica lands near Westview and meets FBI agent Jimmy Woo, discovering the town is missing from maps. The townspeople have selective amnesia, and Monica senses a strange energy field surrounding the area. She observes that everyone in Westview seems to be under some sort of control, feeling the town does not want her to enter.

Monica flies her drone into the energy field, asking Woo about its effects. Once the drone passes through, Monica is suddenly pulled inside the town. Woo calls out to her but she disappears, indicating she has been trapped within the strange reality of Westview.

A team including Darcy Lewis, Woo, and Hayward arrives at an external base to scan Westview using advanced equipment. Darcy detects high levels of CMBR and observes the broadcast of Wanda and Vision's sitcom-themed reality. They realize the town is actively being manipulated and try to find a way to breach the energy barrier.

Wanda and Vision start their life in a 1950s sitcom setting. Wanda uses her powers to tidy up chores, and Vision works at his job. They prepare for an important date, but Wanda is unsure about the significance of the date, hinting at deeper underlying issues.

In a colorized 70s setting, Wanda and Vision discover Wanda is pregnant. As her pregnancy progresses rapidly and unexpectedly, Wanda goes into labor and gives birth to twin boys, Tommy and Billy. The narrative hints at anomalies and strange happenings in their neighborhood during this time.

Wanda begins to question her reality as her environment becomes increasingly unstable. She notices irregularities, such as her children aging rapidly and her neighbors behaving strangely. Meanwhile, outside the town, Monica and Darcy grow concerned about Wanda’s immense powers and her potential intentions.

In a Halloween-themed episode set in a 90s/00s style, Wanda's brother Pietro arrives, played by Evan Peters. The children enjoy trick-or-treating, and Wanda struggles with feelings of loneliness and confusion. Outside, S.W.O.R.D. begins to investigate the anomalies more aggressively, raising tension.

Wanda’s powers continue to grow as she fights to maintain her artificial reality. Monica tries to reason with her, revealing that Wanda’s grief and trauma are driving her actions. Wanda, overwhelmed, expands the Hex to contain Vision and her children, but at the cost of more of Westview being consumed.

In a climax of her emotional turmoil, Wanda fully embraces her identity as the Scarlet Witch, casting a powerful spell that absorbs Agatha Harkness's magic. She reclaims her power, loses her past self, and creates her own version of her reality, erasing her grief but trapping herself in her creation.

As Wanda’s power reaches its peak, the Hex begins shrinking, and she says goodbye to her family and the town. She departs from Westview, leaving her home behind and facing the consequences of her actions. Wanda retreats to a remote location, contemplating her future and the dark magic she has wielded.

In a post-credits scene, Wanda is shown in a mountain cabin, quietly reading the Darkhold, summoning her children’s voices calling for her. This signifies her acceptance of her new identity and the beginning of her journey into darker magic, hinting at future storylines.
