Victor Crowley

A decade after the previous films, Andrew Yong is told by publicist Kathleen that he has been offered a paid interview for a true crime TV series to be conducted in the Honey Island Swamp. He initially refuses due to trauma from Victor Crowley, but Kathleen reveals the offer could rise to one million dollars, swaying his decision. The plan is set for a high-profile sit-down in the swamp.

Andrew and Kathleen board a private charter plane that will take them to the swamp for the interview. Sabrina will host the segment, accompanied by audio technician Austin, videographer Casey, makeup artist Jay, and production assistant Zach. The crew anticipates a tense shoot under the remote, dangerous setting of Honey Island Swamp.

Mid-flight, one of the plane's engines explodes, tearing the craft apart and sending it into a catastrophic plunge. Jay and Zach are killed in the blast, and the remaining survivors fight to stay conscious as the plane sinks toward the swamp water. The crash marks the brutal start of a new nightmare for everyone aboard.

Meanwhile, Chloe, her boyfriend Alex, and their friend Rose are filming a trailer about the Crowley massacre, with Dillon tagging along. Rose searches for videos about voodoo curses to aid their research. Hearing the crash, the group heads toward the plane, while Alex stays behind with Chloe for support.

Dillon and Rose reach the plane wreckage to discover that most people survived the crash, except Jay, Zach, and the pilots. Casey is trapped under seats with water rising as the partially submerged plane fills with swamp water. The survivors' predicament sharpens as time runs short.

Rose's phone autoplays Reverend Zombie reciting the voodoo curse, resurrecting Crowley. The revived killer then emerges and begins hunting the survivors, starting with Alex's death at the swamp edge. The eerie link between video, curse, and fresh carnage deepens the threat.

Chloe attempts to reach the wreckage but is intercepted by Crowley, who inflicts serious wounds and leaves her exposed as bait for the others. The group's fear escalates as they realize escape may be impossible. The attack signals that danger has shifted from the plane to the surrounding swamp.

Trauma overwhelms Kathleen, causing a panic attack that makes her flee the plane. Austin tries to intervene, but both are killed by Crowley, escalating the threat and isolating the group further. The loss leaves the survivors scrambling to understand who is still alive.

Crowley finishes off Chloe and then launches another attack on the plane, causing it to sink further into the swamp. As the vessel descends, Casey drowns in the rising water, leaving the survivors with dwindling options. The catastrophe tightens as the wreck sinks beneath the surface.

Dillon locks himself in the pilot's cabin to radio for help while Andrew, Sabrina, and Rose scatter to safety. Crowley labors to tear into the wreckage, but Dillon sacrifices himself by shoving Crowley into the running engine, shredding them both. The act ends the immediate threat for the moment, but the danger remains real.

The next day, Marybeth Dunston watches a news report about the crash and notices several dead bodies seemingly unrelated to the incident. Realizing Crowley has returned, she brandishes a shotgun and declares, "I've been waiting for you, motherfucker!" signaling that the nightmare is far from over.
