Sidhu is a wayward youth living with his studious elder brother Karthi and their mother. He struggles academically and spends his days roaming with friends. The fragile balance of the family's finances and his mother's worry foreshadow the trouble to come.

He comes across Sruthy, the classmate of his friend's girlfriend, and they gradually fall for each other. Their relationship faces social pressure and disapproval from peers, but their feelings deepen. The budding romance sets off a chain of trouble that follows Sidhu.

Sidhu beats up the guy who is wooing Sruthy, triggering rumors about her. The clash lands him in the police station, and his mother steps in to secure his release. The incident marks a turning point as the family attracts dangerous attention.

Sruthy's uncles, Baby and Jomy, control a money-lending business in the city. Baby aims for municipal election but is blocked by the late councilor's son amid extortion allegations. Their criminal milieu complicates Sidhu's life as he is pulled deeper into their world.

Sidhu discovers that Karthi secretly loves Sruthy, and the revelation shatters him as Sruthy stays with Karthi. He grows distant from Sruthy and they eventually break up. Sruthy decides to move back to Dubai.

Karthi secures admission to a medical college after entrance exams, while Sidhu fails his 12th grade. Their mother finances a flat in the city, hoping for stability, but the plan strains the family’s resources. The two brothers follow divergent paths, widening their gap.

The mother uses her life savings to book a flat in the city, but the real estate company swindles her by downgrading the property and refusing refunds. Sidhu goes to the office to protest, and the confrontation leads to his arrest. Jomy bails him out, secretly aiming to recruit him as their local muscle.

Jomy assigns Sidhu and another goon to beat the councilor candidate; they break his legs in a movie theatre restroom. Later, Jins files a false sexual assault case against Sidhu. Despite the violence, Jomy and his men help Sidhu recover his mother's money from the real estate outfit, earning Sidhu's reluctant loyalty.

Sidhu becomes a regular muscle for Jomy and Chimban, harassing autistic Kuttan and his mother to vacate their house, which belongs to Baby's father. Karthi had known Kuttan from childhood and cared for him. After visiting Karthi at his hostel, Sidhu has Chimban roughen up Karthi's seniors in a bar.

Sruthy returns from Dubai and meets Sidhu when he goes to the railway station to pick up her family. She warns him not to waste his life as a henchman and urges him to lead a better life.

Their mother opens up about the past to Karthi and expresses regret for not raising Sidhu properly while she cared for the chronically ill brother. Karthi reaches out to Sidhu, and the two brothers reconcile with their mother. The trio ends up spending more time together outdoors, rebuilding their bond.

Tired of Baby's gang's abuse to vacate the house, Kuttan's mother commits suicide by jumping in front of a train. Sidhu rushes to the police for Kuttan but learns someone had already taken him away, confirming that he is mentally retarded and not behind his mother's death.

Sidhu stops hanging with Jomy's gang; Chimban tries to provoke him, and their ensuing fight leaves Chimban severely injured and hospitalized. Sidhu returns home to find Karthi missing and goes out to search for him.

Kuttan, in a fit of rage, kills Karthi after mistaking him for Sidhu due to the cap Sidhu wore. Sidhu finds Karthi's lifeless body and collapses, overwhelmed by grief and guilt.

Years pass and Kuttan is released from jail. A reformed Sidhu seeks him out, visiting and hugging him as a quiet, hopeful closure to the turbulent arc of their story.
