During the 2007 Karkidakam season, Vishwanathan is ambushed while riding his motorbike on the road. Maathan Tharakan and Kaaka Rameshan confront him and Maathan strikes with a steel bar, killing him. The murder triggers a cascade of power struggles and personal quests that drive the story forward.

Prof. Premraj, the vice-principal, tries to police student relationships while engaging in questionable behavior, including watching pornographic videos. Vignyanaakoshi interferes with the CCTV, revealing the videos to Fr. Kaattuparamban, who suspends Premraj. His downfall heightens campus tensions and disrupts the administration.

Premraj orders the rival gang to break the legs of the incoming vice-principal, attempting to intimidate him. Sameer leads a small protest at the gate as the replacement arrives. Franklin appears at the event, signaling the volatile power dynamics within the college.

Michael Idicula is appointed as the new vice-principal and rejects the violent approach. He introduces himself to the staff, including Mary, and wins many students over with his calm demeanor. Sameer, however, is disappointed that he doesn’t align with Franklin's faction.

Michael visits Franklin's home and is introduced to Varkey, Franklin's drunken father, who welcomes him into the house. He then meets Franklin's family, gaining a glimpse into the personal world behind the student factions.

Michael meets Vishwanath's widow Jayanthi and her second daughter Sreekutty, who explain that Vishwanath's first daughter had died. The encounter deepens Vishwanath's backstory and foreshadows the film’s twists.

Anumol and Mary approach Michael to propose after Mass, only to learn that he is a priest and cannot marry. The plan is canceled, and Anumol asks Michael to help find a suitable husband for Mary instead.

Michael works to reconcile Sameer and Franklin and their rival gangs, easing tensions at the campus. They also meet Vareethettan, a longtime servant of Michael's family who offers guidance.

To raise funds for two new hostels, Michael proposes making a feature film with Phoenix College staff and students. He enlists Vijay Babu, a Malayalam film producer, who agrees to participate, and they decide to tell Vishwanath’s story as the central narrative.

Auditions are held for the film, but Vishwanath’s role proves difficult to cast. Vijay ultimately identifies Michael as the perfect fit, and he undergoes a dramatic transformation to resemble Vishwanath. Production then begins on schedule.

Premraj is beaten by Maathan Tharakan and his gang, who warn that Michael will suffer the same fate if the filming continues. Undeterred, Michael confronts Maathan and insists that the production must go on.

Maathan tells Michael that Vishwanath's death is inaccurately portrayed: Kaaka Rameshan was the killer, and Vishwanath died because he married Rameshan's lover Jayanthi. Shocked, Michael asks Sameer and Franklin to restructure the film's climax to reflect this truth, and they eventually agree.

The crew films Vishwanath's death as a scene with a child, but a caption later declares that Vishwanath lives in the minds of everyone. Michael's psychological illness appears cured, and the bishop proclaims him the best person to inaugurate the new hostel.

With the hostel inaugurated and his health restored, Michael is announced as the new principal of Phoenix College. The story closes as everyone gathers for a group selfie, signaling unity after a turbulent journey.
