Uncle Bun

James and Sarah decide to rush to the United States to care for James's critically ill brother-in-law. The sudden crisis forces the family to leave the hillside town behind and sets the stage for Charlie to become involved with the children.

Before they depart, James entrusts custody of his three children to his younger brother Charlie Chacko. Charlie accepts the guardianship and moves into the family home to look after Asha, Vinu, and Mariah. The other kids warm to him, but Asha remains wary.

Charlie quickly wins over the younger children with his warmth and talents in music and dance, earning the nickname Uncle Bun. Asha, a sixteen-year-old, treats him with contempt and resents the new guardian.

At a local club, Charlie meets Roy, a suave but shady womanizer, and also encounters Geetha, a dancer who is drawn to Charlie's affable nature. The encounter hints at the complicated relationships that will unfold around the family.

Asha is caught cheating on a class exam and expelled, but Charlie, as guardian, persuades the school matrons to give her another chance. He also has another encounter when Geetha follows him home, introducing her to the family and stirring Asha's jealousy.

Geetha's persistence deepens the bond between her and Charlie, and the two grow closer as he shares his past. A dancing spree later frames Charlie in front of Geetha as a flirt, straining their relationship.

Roy arranges a private meet-up with Asha at an isolated house; Charlie arrives in time, beats Roy, and brings Asha back home.

Asha accuses Charlie of destroying Rosie's life. It is revealed that Rosie, while dying in Charlie's arms, told him that her suicide was the result of being cheated on by another man, and Charlie silently took the blame for fourteen years.

Asha locks Charlie in while he wrestles with asthma, and cuts the power, leaving the siblings in darkness. She runs to Roy's isolated house, where Roy and his friend try to assault her, but Charlie breaks in and saves her in a brutal confrontation.

On the way back home, Charlie tells Asha about the past and why he took the blame for Rosie fourteen years ago. He explains that Rosie died after being cheated on by another man, and he chose to bear the blame to protect her reputation.

The family slowly begins to accept Charlie back into their hearts, with Sarah extending a warm welcome. The home gradually fills with forgiveness and renewed warmth.

Asha makes amends by reaching out to Geetha and helping to pave the way for Charlie and Geetha to reunite. Geetha forgives Charlie, and the two are poised to start a new life together, with the family behind them.
