Ultraman: Rising

For over three decades, Ultraman has served as a protector of humanity against the threats posed by Kaijus. Although Kaijus are often seen as adversaries, they possess complexities that blur the line between good and evil.

Professor Sato, the original Ultraman, begins to prepare his son Kenji for his eventual role as the next Ultraman. He emphasizes the vital need for balance between humans and Kaijus, instilling values that will shape Kenji's future.

As a child, Kenji experiences a critical moment when his father confronts the powerful Kaiju Gigantron. This formative encounter serves to deepen Kenji's connection to the Ultraman legacy and the world of Kaijus.

Twenty years later, Kenji, now a successful yet arrogant baseball player, makes the surprising decision to return to Japan. This return, occurring during his team’s championship run in America, raises suspicions about unresolved family matters.

Reporter Ami Wakita notes Kenji's controversial decision to leave his winning team, alluding to deeper family issues. She highlights Kenji's impressive athletic accomplishments while hinting that his ego may be detrimental to his career.
