Following devastating floods in 1953, a Dutch farmer seeks a fresh start far from home. Tired of the constant dampness, he embarks on a journey to Italy and impulsively decides to cultivate tulips in the warm climate of Puglia. He faces unexpected challenges and finds himself caught between two very different cultures and ways of life as he attempts to build a new existence.
