Two Americans and their allies launch a daring rescue network in 1940 Marseille, helping artists, writers and other refugees escape Nazi‑occupied Europe. Based on Julie Orringer’s novel The Flight Portfolio, the miniseries created by Anna Winger and Daniel Hendler dramatizes the Emergency Rescue Committee’s work across Marseille, Spain and Portugal after France’s fall, featuring real cultural figures saved by the effort. It closed the 2023 Series Mania festival before its Netflix debut.
