In Nagasaki, Tora‑san and a companion rescue an elderly woman after she falls and injures herself. Grateful, she invites them to her home, where the three share a warm evening of food and drink. Her condition worsens and she passes away. At her funeral, Tora‑san becomes smitten with her daughter, yet he ultimately serves as the intermediary between her and a young law student.
