Set against the backdrop of French Polynesia, the film follows a Polynesian boy who, as a child, raises a baby shark and shares it with his island friend Diana. Ten years later the trio reunites, only to discover Tiko and Diana are now adults, the shark has become a lethal man‑eater, and modern civilization threatens their tropical home.
