At the climax of The Tiger’s Apprentice, Tom finally confronts the villain Loo and manages to heal the corrupted Phoenix. Instead of fighting Loo directly with violence, Tom’s connection with the Phoenix allows him to transform it into a force for good, restoring its natural power and purity. As he holds the Phoenix stone, he channels his newfound confidence and abilities to defeat Loo’s dark plans, ensuring that her army of demons is defeated and she is driven away. Hu, though weakened by the soul merge, becomes a father figure and protector to Tom. The story ends with Tom embracing his role as a guardian, committed to fighting evil alongside Hu, with the understanding that his destiny is now clearly revealed and he is ready to face whatever challenges lie ahead. This ending highlights themes of sacrifice, acceptance, and the enduring power of hope and familial bonds amid the battle between good and evil.
