Thunderbird

In 2068, the New World Aircraft Corporation in England issues Brains an open brief to design a revolutionary aircraft. Brains proposes an airship, drawing laughter from the executives. Despite the skepticism, the concept is approved and Skyship One begins to take shape as a fully automated craft powered by an anti-gravity field.

Skyship One is planned for a maiden round-the-world flight with International Rescue aboard: Alan, Tin-Tin, Penelope and Parker. Brains stays on Tracy Island after Jeff asks him to design Thunderbird 6. The crew prepares for a high-profile voyage while Brains continues to work on new Thunderbird machines.

Alan and Tin-Tin travel to England in a restored Tiger Moth to join Penelope and Parker. They board Skyship One and prepare for the voyage. The team finalizes the passenger manifest as the airship's automation system powers up for the long journey.

Skyship One lifts off for its globe-spanning voyage with a programmed schedule. Captain Foster and the ship's stewards are revealed to be Hood's agents in disguise, operating as Black Phantom. The impostors begin their mission to maintain the illusion of competence without needing to understand the tech.

As the airship leaves the pyramids, Hood's men murder Captain Foster and the stewards and take over from an abandoned airfield near Casablanca. They plan to lure the guests into a trap by manipulating communications. The ship's automation allows the impostors to operate unnoticed.

Penelope finds a bugging device hidden in her bedroom. Hood's team begins recording and editing her voice to create a fake radio message instructing Jeff to dispatch Thunderbirds 1 and 2 to the airfield. The trap is designed to capture Skyship One and its guests.

Parker locates the editing gear aboard the airship. Before action can be taken, the message is completed and transmitted to Tracy Island via Thunderbird 5. Jeff orders Scott and Virgil in Thunderbirds 1 and 2 to intercept the trap.

Scott and Virgil reach the airfield and engage Hood's forces. They destroy Hood's base with Thunderbirds' rocket launchers and then rendezvous with Skyship One to continue the mission. The impostor threat on board remains hidden, but the plan is now in motion.

A firefight erupts aboard Skyship One as the impostors reveal themselves. Tin-Tin is captured, forcing the group to surrender. The anti-gravity system is damaged, causing the ship to lose altitude and crash into a radio mast near Dover.

With Skyship One balanced atop the mast, Brains flies a Tiger Moth up to the top deck to evacuate guests and crew. He is briefly held at gunpoint by Foster, while Penelope remains a hostage in the cockpit. The rescue operation proceeds under extreme danger.

Foster is shot dead by Alan. The Tiger Moth lifts off with the guests and impostors clinging to its wings and landing gear. Skyship One crashes, triggering a chain reaction that obliterates the missile base.

The remaining impostors are killed in a gunfight aboard the Tiger Moth. Penelope makes an emergency landing in a field after the plane clips obstacles, including a factory chimney, a motorway bridge, and a tree. Parker is thrown clear and ends up dangling from a branch.

Back on Tracy Island, Brains unveils Thunderbird 6, which is revealed to be the repaired Tiger Moth. The team celebrates the successful rescue and recognizes Brains's ingenuity in turning the battered plane into a functional Thunderbird.
