A Montevideo journalist learns that a slum boy’s killing near the vineyards was politically motivated and part of a broader pattern. He befriends the victim’s older brother and soon becomes close to the whole family while probing the case. The investigation reveals a series of summary executions of impoverished youths in the vineyard, yet few are willing to confront the powerful owner who benefits from the violence.
