Cetarti feels adrift, lacking purpose and employment, and spends his days watching television. His life takes a dramatic turn when he learns of his mother and brother’s deaths. He journeys from Buenos Aires to Lapachito, a rundown town in northern Argentina, to handle their remains and claim the life insurance money. There, he encounters Duarte, a local figure with ties to his mother’s killer and involvement in kidnapping schemes. Cetarti becomes entangled in illegal activities as he seeks the insurance money, leading him into Duarte’s dangerous world and culminating in a bizarre and unforeseen resolution.
