The Graveyard

The friends head to Placid Pines Cemetery for a midnight game of hide and seek. Eric is chosen as the seeker and begins to count with his eyes closed. When he opens his eyes, a masked, knife-wielding man approaches and Eric starts to run. He slips and impales himself on the cemetery fence as the killer, revealed later as Bobby, watches the tragedy unfold.

Five years after the incident, Michelle testifies at Bobby's probation hearing, where he is charged with manslaughter while the others are let off. Michelle organizes a reunion of the friends at a campsite near the cemetery hoping to bring closure. Bobby appears reluctant to revisit the past, even as the plan moves forward.

The group gathers at the campsite, joined by Veronica, Jack's girlfriend, and is greeted by groundskeeper Peter Bishop. In an isolated shed nearby, a bloodied man tied to a chair awakens as a masked assailant hacks him to pieces. The eerie setup confirms that the killer is still at large and watching from the shadows.

As the night unfolds, it is revealed that Eric's family died in an arson shortly after his own death, adding a heavy backstory to the survivors' trauma. The group struggles to blend nostalgia with fear as the past continues to haunt them. The mood remains strained while they try to relax for the reunion.

Allie, Jack's girlfriend, goes to take a shower and is brutally murdered by a masked attacker. Jack is attacked as well, his screams drawing the others toward the danger. The killer is revealed to be Bobby, who is chided for not having learned his lesson; Veronica remains missing.

Allie and Jack's bodies are discovered, plunging the camp into chaos. Bobby heads to town and is arrested, as the sheriff continues to search for a murderer. Earlier, a body had already been located in the woods, heightening the sense of danger and suspicion.

Charlie accidentally electrocutes Sarah during a mishap, and the murderer plants a rattlesnake that bites Charlie in the eye. The cruelty of the killer intensifies the peril for the remaining friends. The group grows increasingly paranoid as the night wears on.

Peter Bishop and Michelle realize they are the last two left with the killer still in their midst. They sense that danger is closing in and there may be no one left to help them. The tension peaks as they search for a way to survive the night.

The sheriff releases Bobby after confirming his identity and heads back to scour the woods. A fax arrives confirming that the body found in the woods is Peter Bishop. The revelation reframes the mystery and raises questions about Peter's true role.

Back at the camp, a figure named Peter reveals that he is actually Adam, Eric's brother. He explains he is a psychopath who burned down his home, using Eric's exhumed body as his own to fake his death. He abducts Michelle and tells her to run, staging a new terror from the cemetery to mirror the childhood game.

Adam pursues Michelle through the cemetery, but Bobby returns to intervene and save her. Adam is shot, yet the police cannot locate his body afterward, leaving the fate of the killer unresolved. The survivors are left in a fragile state of safety, unsure if the threat is truly over.

Some time later, Bobby and Michelle are escorted into a police car and feel a moment of safety. The driver, however, is revealed to be Adam, suggesting the danger is far from over. The movie ends with this chilling implication that the killer is still among them.
