After a construction worker is discovered dead, the inquiry quickly moves beyond a simple crime to expose the political forces tied to the building project. The film reveals pervasive corruption and the builder’s own neglect as root causes. Shot largely with hand‑held cameras, the dialogue is delivered in the fast, slang‑filled Spanish spoken by Mexico City bricklayers, making it challenging for outsiders to follow.
