When a former French professor and his young wife settle in a sleepy Alpine village to produce goat cheese, the town’s aging conservative residents are initially wary of their unconventional ways. Over time the family’s enthusiasm, kindness and helpfulness spark hopes of renewal, but growing envy and conflicts soon threaten the fragile harmony.
