During WWII a group of Munich University students become disillusioned with the Nazi regime and form a secret resistance called the White Rose, distributing leaflets. Initially small and cautious, their pamphlets gain momentum after a Gauleiter's incendiary speech sparks unrest, prompting the Gestapo to hunt and crush the movement.
