In the late 1960s, radical ideals fueled the formation of the Weather Underground, a militant group that broke away from SDS. Driven by a desire to end systemic injustices, racism, and the Vietnam War, they engaged in bombings and other acts of protest. These actions placed them on the FBI's Most Wanted list and ignited debate among former members and critics, prompting a re-examination of a controversial period and its relevance to contemporary issues.
