The Dutch colonial army in West Java stages a martial‑arts tournament to find a champion who can defeat the local freedom fighter Parmin, known as Jaka Sembung. An unassuming blind swordsman wins, and the Dutch commander De Mandes (Gino Makasutji) enlists him. Yet the swordsman sympathises with Jaka Sembung, and the situation grows tense when the enchanting magician Dewi Magi and her mentor (W. D. Mochtar) intervene on the Dutch side.
