Along the way, Officer Carmody Kelly Thordsen pulls them over for speeding, only to clear the way when he learns Fran is in labor and to escort them to the vet, turning a stressful moment into a roadside rescue.

At the veterinary clinic, Dr. J. L. Pruitt Charles Ruggles confirms Danke’s labor while sharing the news that his own female Great Dane, Duchess, has just given birth too.
