It follows the resourceful Scheherazade, newly wed to the volatile King Shahryar, who kills each bride after the wedding night. To survive, Scheherazade captivates him with vivid, ongoing tales, deftly ending each on tantalizing cliffhangers that compel him to postpone her execution.
