Pablo loves Dominique and plans to marry her. She takes him to a cemetery and convinces him that if either dies, the surviving partner will return to guide the other into the afterlife. While traveling from Madrid to Brittany, Dominique dies en route. The next day Pablo receives a phone call—her voice, suggesting the promise may be kept.
