The Suicide Squad

The movie opens with Brian Durland, also known as Savant, entertaining himself by tossing a ball around in Belle Reve Penitentiary. His incredible skill is showcased as he bounces the ball off walls, leading to the unfortunate death of a canary, but his fun is cut short by Amanda Waller's urgent appearance.

Savant is quickly recruited into Task Force X, also known as The Suicide Squad. This team consists of various infamous characters, including Harley Quinn and Bloodsport, led by Rick Flag as they prepare for a dangerous mission in Corto Maltese.

The team arrives in Corto Maltese, where chaos ensues almost immediately. Weasel unexpectedly drowns after falling into the water, revealing to everyone that he cannot swim, which sets a grim tone for their mission.

As the team regroups onshore, Blackguard betrays them by leading them into an ambush set by mercenaries. The shocking betrayal results in his own brutal death, setting the stage for deeper conflicts amongst the members of the squad.

In the ensuing chaos, Harley Quinn leaps into action, demonstrating her combat prowess. Captain Boomerang uses his signature projectiles to take down enemies, as TDK tries to detach his arms to fight, though ineffectively.

Mongal meets a tragic end when she is consumed by flames while attempting to land her helicopter. Soon after, Captain Boomerang suffers a horrifying fate as he becomes impaled and shredded by helicopter blades.

Amidst the turmoil, Savant attempts to flee but is met with a grim end when Amanda Waller triggers the explosive in his head. This moment emphasizes the dire consequences of the team's situation and her unforgiving control over them.

Three days earlier, Amanda Waller actively recruits Robert DuBois, known as Bloodsport, threatening him to assure his compliance. Faced with the manipulation concerning his daughter, he eventually joins her mission.

Waller briefs the team about the political turmoil in Corto Maltese, now controlled by dictator Silvio Luna and General Mateo Suarez. Their objective is to locate Dr. Gaius Grieves, also known as The Thinker, who is involved in ominous experiments.

While making their way through the jungle, the squad mistakenly kills members of the local Freedom Fighters, leading to unintended consequences. This encounter complicates their mission as they learn about their real targets.

During their mission, Harley Quinn is captured by Silvio Luna, who tries to engage her romantically. In a blend of peril and humor, Harley manages to escape captivity, displaying her resilience and fighting spirit.

The team successfully infiltrates the Jotunheim facility, where they encounter Dr. Gaius Grieves. As they delve deeper, they uncover the terrifying presence of Starro The Conqueror, which unleashes chaos upon them.

Bloodsport, Harley, and Polka Dot Man engage in a fierce battle against the formidable Starro. The conflict escalates, and the squad must use all their resources and skills to survive the chaos unleashed by the alien creature.

After a tumultuous battle, the team manages to defeat Starro with the help of Ratcatcher 2's rat army. In the aftermath, the surviving members contemplate their future and what their experiences have taught them.

In a mid-credits scene, Weasel is revealed to be alive, awakening in the jungle. A post-credits scene suggests Peacemaker's unexpected survival, leaving the door open for potential future encounters with the squad.
