One year after the Snow Queen's defeat, Orm lives with his grandmother Rosa and Gerda's ferret Luta, earning a steady life as a miner. At Lake Gao, he swears to never tell another lie, a vow that paradoxically unleashes a living reflection. The reflection begins prodding him toward deception and quietly pulling the strings behind his daily actions.

Orm's blue-tinted twin emerges as a covert influence, nudging him toward missteps and small lies. The reflection operates behind the scenes, eroding trust with those around him. The troll’s life begins to tilt as honesty becomes harder to maintain.

Orm is fired after insulting the knight Arrog and faces eviction from his cottage. Under the reflection's pressure, he is pushed to don armor and enter a competition that will decide who wins Princess Maribel's hand. The lie about his abilities promises glory, but it carries real risk as the lie grows beyond him.

To impress the Princess and the King, Orm fabricates a tale of having defeated the Snow Queen. Gerda arrives with Kai and Alfida and overhears his lies, which sparks a heated argument. Feeling betrayed by the once-honest friend, Gerda leaves the village.
