The Smurfs

Sophie and her brother Sam find a doll their father brought home from Belgium, which they soon discover is actually a living smurf named Clumsy. Sophie becomes determined to convince her parents to accept Clumsy as a part of their family.

As the Smurfs prepare for the Blue Moon Festival, Papa Smurf has a vision showing Clumsy Smurf reaching for a dragon wand and the Smurfs in cages, trapped by the evil Gargamel. This alarming vision prompts Papa Smurf to take precautions to protect Clumsy from danger.

Clumsy Smurf, disobeying Papa Smurf's orders, accidentally leads Gargamel and his cat Azrael to the Smurf village. In the chaos, the Smurfs flee and Clumsy runs towards the Forbidden Falls, where the rest of the Smurfs follow in an attempt to save him.

In a surprising twist, the Smurfs and Clumsy are sucked into a gigantic vortex, transporting them to present-day New York City. Confused and overwhelmed, they struggle to adapt to their new and bustling surroundings.

Upon arriving in New York, the Smurfs land in the apartment of Patrick and Grace Winslow, a friendly couple awaiting a baby. After explaining their situation, the Winslows agree to help the Smurfs find a way back home.

Gargamel pursues the Smurfs into the city after discovering their location. He manages to extract 'Smurf essence' from Smurfette, which he uses to charm Patrick's boss, complicating the Smurfs' plans to escape.

The Smurfs manage to sneak into a toy store to find a star gazer. However, Gargamel finds them there and causes chaos, leading to a tense moment where the Winslows save the Smurfs from being captured by kids and Gargamel.

Clumsy Smurf inadvertently causes issues at Patrick's work when he attaches a blue-moon-themed side project to an advertisement. This leads to a confrontation between Patrick and Clumsy, causing Patrick to storm out.

Desperate to return to their world, the Smurfs locate a bookstore containing the essential spell, 'LHistoire de Schtroumpfs' by Peyo. However, their discovery is interrupted when Gargamel tracks them down.

Gargamel captures Papa Smurf and harnesses the power of a dragon wand he created. As the other Smurfs escape, they realize they must devise a plan to rescue Papa Smurf despite promising not to intervene.

In an epic showdown, the Smurfs confront Gargamel at Belvedere Castle. Brainy Smurf conjures the blue moon, rallying the Smurfs to battle the wizard and his cat Azrael, leading to an intense fight for their freedom.

During the battle, Clumsy Smurf surprises everyone by catching the dragon wand from Gargamel. His unexpected bravery turns the tide, sending Gargamel flying and ultimately breaking the wand's power.

With Gargamel thwarted, the Smurfs receive a call that Patrick has kept his job and they are able to return home. In a joyful departure, the Smurfs say their goodbyes to the Winslows, who have become like family.

Back in their village, the Smurfs decide to rebuild it in a style reminiscent of New York City. Meanwhile, Patrick and Grace welcome a baby boy, whom they name Blue in honor of their Smurf friends.

Despite the Smurfs' return to safety, Gargamel and Azrael remain trapped in New York City, plotting their next move. This leaves the possibility for future encounters and mischief between the Smurfs and the wicked wizard.
