The Smurfs 2

Two years after the events of the previous film, the Smurfs gather to celebrate Smurfette's birthday. They recall the tale of her creation, remembering how she was originally meant to be a tool of destruction but was transformed into a true Smurf by Papa Smurf.

Meanwhile, in Paris, Gargamel and his cat Azrael have become renowned magicians. Despite their fame, Gargamel struggles with a lack of Smurf essence, which is vital for his magical feats.

To sustain his magic, Gargamel invents two malicious Smurf-like creatures named Vexy and Hackus. These Naughties represent his latest attempt to capture Smurf essence without directly dealing with the Smurfs.

Utilizing the Eiffel Tower as a conduit, Gargamel creates a magical portal intended to capture Smurfette. However, since he cannot pass through it, he sends Vexy to do the dirty work for him.

Vexy successfully kidnaps Smurfette, prompting immediate concern among the Smurfs. Observing her abduction, they rush to alert Papa Smurf about the dire situation.

Papa Smurf conjures magical crystals to send select Smurfs to their human friends Patrick and Grace in New York City for assistance. Due to an accident, Clumsy, Grouchy, and Vanity join the mission instead of Brainy, Hefty, and Gutsy.

The Smurfs arrive just after the Winslows have celebrated their son Blue's fourth birthday. It's at this moment that they learn of Gargamel's location in Paris and plan their rescue operation.

Patrick and Victor devise a plan to distract Gargamel during one of his magical performances at the Palais Garnier. Meanwhile, the Smurfs attempt to find Smurfette in his dressing room.

In a turn of events, Smurfette manages to break free from her captivity. However, she is pursued by the Naughties, who tempt her to join their side and enjoy a different kind of fun.

Upon returning to Gargamel's hotel suite, he gives Smurfette a tiny dragon wand, pretending it is a gesture of kindness. Yet, realizing the suffering of the Naughties from a lack of essence, Smurfette feels pressured to comply with Gargamel's demands.

Reluctantly, Smurfette writes down the Smurf creation formula after seeing the Naughties in distress. Gargamel then transforms them into real Smurfs, only to trap them in his Smurfalator machine to extract their essence.

Just as the situation escalates, Patrick, Victor, and the Smurfs unite to save Smurfette. Unfortunately, they fall into Gargamel's trap, which enhances his dragon wand's power.

In a thrilling climax, Patrick and Victor destroy the Smurfalator just in time, leading to a massive explosion of Smurf essence. This explosion eradicates the written formula and liberates the Smurfs from Gargamel's grasp.

In the aftermath, they escape through a sewer and reunite with Grace and Blue. Gargamel attempts to reclaim his power, but Smurfette, with her newfound wand, defeats him, causing his fall onto the Notre Dame Cathedral.

The Smurfs say goodbye to their human friends and return home, accompanied by Vexy and Hackus. They celebrate a belated birthday for Smurfette, marking the end of their adventure.

In a comedic twist, Gargamel and Azrael are whisked through the portal due to the Eiffel Tower fireworks. They find themselves back at their castle, setting the stage for a humorous confrontation.
