The film explores the challenge of respecting another culture, focusing on the Aka/BaAka people of the Central African rainforest and the controversy over naming them—“pygmies” or “Babingas”—both loaded terms. It examines how even well‑meaning outsiders struggle to see beyond stereotypes and adopt the community’s own ethnonyms.
