Bunshiro Maki, a gifted swordsman stuck at the bottom of his clan’s hierarchy, discovers a plot to kill his childhood love Fuku and her infant son. After his father’s forced seppuku and Fuku’s consignment as a concubine to an evil lord who fathers a child, Maki enlists two childhood friends to thwart the scheme and rescue them.
