The final Goopy Geer cartoon opens with the king returning to his castle and asking where the queen is; the title song tells us she’s hidden in the parlor. He takes his seat on the throne and summons his jester, Goopy Geer. When a black knight bursts in and threatens a young lady, Goopy battles him, first wielding an axe, then donning improvised armor fashioned from kitchen utensils, and finally charging the knight with a mounted animal head that shatters the foe’s armor. Defeated, the knight gathers himself and retreats.
