The Mummy

Nalan’s story culminates with the spirits of Mithra and her mother Rani returning from the dead, seeking justice for the wrongs committed against them. The ghostly possessions and murders happening in Nalan’s restaurant were driven by the vengeful spirits, unleashed through the old mummy idol that had supernatural powers. With Vishwanathan’s death, the vengeful spirits are freed from their torment and can finally find peace; Mithra and Rani ascend to the supernatural realm, leaving behind their earthly pain.

Nalan feels a profound relief, as the burden of the spirits’ wrath is lifted, and the mystery surrounding the supernatural occurrences is resolved. The film’s ending emphasizes how past injustices can come back to haunt the guilty, and the power of spirits seeking justice can transcend the physical world, ultimately bringing peace to those wronged.
